(So if you are going for a damage all build, probably don't make grove tiles since the wolves ignore damage all.) To fight lots of things you want to make a lot of tiles that spawn enemies that your build can dispatch of handily. YOU get stronger the higher number (lvl) your gear is. ![]() This is because the enemies (and boss) get stronger depending what loop it is. (Or specifically, while keeping your health high/full by the time you hit a fresh loop.) How you play Loop Hero well is you want to fight as many things as possible per loop without dying. My first big helpful realization was this. So I'd appreciate a push in the right direction. It seems like a good game, I'm just having trouble understanding it. Maybe if I sat down with a notebook and wrote down everything every enemy dropped I'd start noticing differences, but I wish the game would make it more apparent if new enemy X dropped new item Y, or if some enemies dropped better equipment in general. I can't think of a way to intuit how to figure them out rather than just stumble across them, and even if I do I don't understand what they actually give me other than a new type of enemy which I kill for the exact same rewards as every other enemy as far as I can tell. ![]() There seem to be some secrets out there like mountain peaks, but finding them seems to be accidental. it doesn't make anything harder, easier, or interesting that I can tell. When I gather resources, I make buildings, which give me new cards, but those new cards don't seem to do anything except maybe give a different enemy type, and I'm not sure I understand how these new enemies are helping me progress. And I'm not sure what I should do differently. Is putting lots of tiles down good? Is making more loops good? What means "you win"? Every run for me so far as ended where I die or have to quit the loop and start over. It feels like a game I should enjoy, but I'm not getting the hook.
